We continue to follow with concern the events unfolding in various countries torn apart by war and violence. Let us not forget those who are suffering and dying because of these conflicts, and let us add our constant prayers to the generous efforts for #peace.
Unfortunately, the winds of war are blowing once again in the Middle East, in Ukraine and in many other parts of the world, sowing violence, terror and death, and once again affecting many innocent people. Let us not allow these winds to extinguish the flame of hope and peace, even when it seems fragile and flickering.
I renew my hope that we will persevere on the path of dialogue, encounter and diplomacy. This is the only path capable of leading to a just and lasting peace, in which peoples can live in reconciliation, mutual security and respect for the dignity of every person.
If you're willing to vote for a sex-pest, Nazi tattoo-sporting, potential child rapist over...SUSAN FREAKING COLLINS...you should never be taken seriously again, and you should be profoundly ashamed of yourself.
True. And neither did I. But you did endorse Donald Trump, a serial adulterer, a serial sexual abuser of women, a rapist, and most likely a pedophile. So…kudos to you @BasedMikeLee?
@LaLaLisaCooper 2/2: There needs to be some form of encouragement for Lutheran women as we navigate a cultural climate where it often feels like women are being pushed away. I know women are now leaving Christianity at higher rates than men, & I think that’s something we need to address.
@LaLaLisaCooper 1/2: I like theology, but it’s not my whole life. Sometimes it’s nice to see what other Lutheran women are doing outside of church & theology. I do think there’s a place for encouraging Lutheran women in their everyday lives: hobbies, careers, families, and friendships.
The idea vaccines cause autism was invented by Andrew Wakefield in 1998 and was so thoroughly debunked he lost his license for gross malpractice
And here we are 27 years later RFK Jr dredging up the same nonsense
Such a tiresome waste of time
I don’t think it’s too much to ask for the church to stop equating faithfulness in the public square with support of a deeply flawed partisan movement.
One of my biggest concerns is that Christians are being so radicalized with political and racial animosity that we’ll have no desire to be peacemakers moving forward.
Algorithms are feeding us nonstop propaganda about how great we are and how awful our political opponents are.
Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth. #ApostolicJourney#Cameroon https://t.co/bKteFZ3iWE
I honestly do not know what Republicans stand for if they do not support Thomas Massie.
He advocates for limited government in domestic affairs, like Ronald Reagan, and a limited foreign policy, like Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan.
He's to the right of everyone in Congress.
If I were the literal devil I would carefully convince Christians that there is something sinister about empathy, that forgiveness is reserved for those who serve my interests, and that love looks like incurious condescension.

There is no bottom for this administration.
