NOW: The Columbia City Council holds a Budget Work Session to discuss next steps for the 2025 Capital Improvement Sales Tax that renews every 10 years.
Council members at the work session will cover proposed ballot projects and proposed steps for ballot renewal.

The current 1/4- cent sales tax for capital improvement projects has been in place since 2016 and was estimated to raise $63.8 million over the 10 years.
This next proposed sales tax renewal is expected to generate around $125.8 million.
