Former Chicago Mayor and potential 2028 presidential candidate Rahm Emanuel, in an appearance on @ABC’s @TheView on Tuesday, slammed both the Trump administration and Congress for what he portrayed as a staid, gridlocked Washington in need of “a good power washing.”
“All of Washington needs a good power washing,” Emanuel said. “Members of Congress, no trading in stocks. President, no investor day in the Oval Office. And Supreme Court, you don't get to take gifts and trips from people that actually have cases in front - the whole place needs to be washed out.”
President Trump said the SAVE America Act "supersedes everything else," continuing a push for GOP-led election reform. The bill is facing a 60-vote Senate hurdle and a Minority Leader who says the legislation is "dead on arrival."
