express gratitude when they do support you in the way you’ve told them. and make sure to communicate w/ them when the ball was dropped. work with people to get it right bc it won’t always be right. until it becomes habit, youre constantly practicing. it’s a team effort

it’s ok to tell someone how to best support you. it’s easy to think you shouldn’t have to teach someone how to engage with you, but everyone loves and supports differently. people are like roadmaps. you have to explore and show each other the paths of who you are. that takes time
