All we can be in a moment of deep suffering is exactly who we are—desperate, hollowed out, and totally in need. And it is there that we find the one thing to cling to: the Cross of the One Who suffered for us and the Suffering One Himself.

So often I hold on to parts of my life, trying to keep them within my grasp, thinking that if I can just tighten my grip a little more I can figure it out myself. But Jesus wants to reveal His glory to me in my letting go, offering all of myself, to the brim.
