I hiked up the tallest Houston mountain in search of a little solitude from all the Houston bustle. It took me awhile to get to the top, but when I got there I saw the biggest Buc-ees known to man. There was a glow emanating from it. The Beaver Nuggets were the size of basketballs and the brisket sandwiches were so big they had to be pulled around in little red wagons. When it was time to leave I just thought “There’s no place like home,” and voila, I was sitting in my kitchen on the nap couch. Was I dreaming? Did I have a psychotic break? Who knows, but I can still taste those Beaver Nuggets.
@SkylarSkye3 I don’t have a passport and don’t intend to get one. Visiting foreign countries doesn’t appeal to me. I’ve been to a couple of other countries and have no desire to do it again. The U.S. has everything I need, and I won’t get arrested for posting on social media.
@FreddyLA7 I’m so enjoying your posts. I’ve lived in the Houston area most of my life, and it’s refreshing to see everything through your eyes. Be sure to have Tex-Mex and BBQ in Houston. Pappasito’s is good for Mexican food. There are many good choices. There’s nothing like good Texas BBQ brisket and sausage.
