for years now we've been deluged with opinion pieces & full-length books about how young men are so sad/isolated/afraid to approach girls & women/oppressed by feminists & #MeToo/victims of a cruel anti-male culture ad nauseam; yet, as we see here, these entitled young men at Cornell had not the slightest hesitation or the mildest anxiety about committing a group rape of an intoxicated young woman, a classmate of theirs.
please spare us any more of those pathetic opinion & books pieces about sad young men pining away in loneliness & fear of girls & women.
& especially, please spare us blaming girls & women for their being so sad & oppressed.
me during the 167 hours a week i am not in therapy: life is pain existence is a prison i will never recover i am doomed there is no point there is no purpose i am the oldest 27 year old alive it’s over
me during the 1 hour a week i am in therapy: in my chex mix era #chexmixera
Reminds me of how rage at “Healthy At Every Size” was a bad-faith distortion of a movement based on research that found making your goal “practicing healthy habits without over focusing on weight loss” actually led to better weight and health outcomes than making weight loss itself your goal, and makes you highly likely to maintain any weight loss you achieve this way, which most did, many by a lot.
But the part about fat people not living in constant misery about their weight was just too much for people to handle; they had to caricaturize it as “every size is healthy” - no, it’s every size can practice healthful habits.
I have an unsubstantiated theory that when people nowadays talk about cortisol and serotonin, it is just as unscientific as when people used to talk about the four humours
this is a genuinely dangerous lie to spread im sorry. this does not happen. doctors have absolutely no incentive to do this and do not check organ donor status unless you are already in a position where organ donation is possible and they have to either extract or send to morgue
