“Everyone you meet always asks if you have a career, are married, or own a house, as if life was some kind of grocery list. But no one ever asks you if you are happy”
— Heath Ledger
One day when Avery’s older she will listen to Noah kohan the same way I listen to dad rock and be like “damn they were sad but I just thought we were jammin” 😂
Imma do it. Imma do everything i have set my goals too. It’s going to hurt so bad but hey, life is going to hurt anyway, might as well get what I want out of it now.
My daughter and me having basic conversations sometimes hurts my own feelings “yeah I wanted to be a ballerina when I was your age until like 9 years old” “why because you like to dance?” “Maybe or I just wanted to be seen” shoulda said I liked to dance.
I oddly miss the days when my life was so “hectic” I would run out the door with out shoes on. That part of my life was disorganized fun running out the door to go on a cruise with friends with the windows down not a care or shoe in sight.
Six years ago me and Avery’s dad announced she was a girl. The look on his face will always be burned permanently in my brain and should have been my first red flag.
Realized I broke the curse when instead of saying “instead of being jealous be better” I said “instead of being jealous be an individual, which means be yourself it’s the best you’ll be” it’s okay to not compete, happiness isn’t a competition don’t raise it.
I want a house with a yard, for a raised garden bed and a hammock to read on sunny days. My kids playing and my dogs running. I’m sick of this super close house shit
