IMO, people are getting too reductive about synthetic fabrics, equating "natural" with "good" and "synthetic" with "bad." Much depends on the material and how it's used. I will give some examples. 🧵
Every time someone here argues that Americans can't afford to buy better clothes, I'm reminded that the average US household spends almost $2k a year on apparel and related services, according to BLS data. They just prioritize quantity over quality

@tomgrossicomedy Lifelong fan growing up in Central WI - have carried the torch in CO for the last 20 years - never been to a game at Lambeau in my 43 years on this planet. Can’t think of a better game to come home and pull my Packers Starter jacket circa 1993 out of the archives.
Working on my #Coloradoballot - who’s got strong opinions about Props 122-126 (or anything else?) I know there are nuances and I haven’t been following closely, so would love to hear any arguments for/against.
Stay strong @AjaSaysHello, I (and many others) completely support you in this thread on unwanted gifts! I would add that corporate/event tchotchkes are a serious offender. Stop with the crappy t-shirts and water bottles… no one asked for them
@clhubes I have a dream for a new HGTV show. I want an architect/engineer/builder team to go around the country showing people how to break up their too-big-for-them houses into multiple dwelling units that are all pleasant. I have plans for my 1,800sf house when my kid goes to college.
