🚨Let’s not forget Birmingham is Hosting the Commonwealth Games this year. They have money and funding for that yet some of the most vulnerable people in the city are left to live in the inhumane conditions.

Student loan interest rates expected to rise from 4.5% to 12% for high earners and from 1.5% to 9% for low earners from September. An average grad with £50k debt will incur £2,200 to £3000 in interest over 6 months, just in case young wallets haven't been hit hard enough.
the impossibility of saving, the exhaustion of knowing how much I’m being rinsed in rent costs, the reluctance of govt to invest in green energy .. WILL THERE EVEN BE A PLANET LEFT FOR ME TO PAY MY STUDENT LOANS BACK TO!!!!?
The National Union of Students turns 100 today. The best way to mark the moment is to join the struggle against a government hellbent on failing students across the board.

A group of SU officers proposed this at the start of the summer. It is fiscally neutral. They wanted to use the money generated to compensate students. You could use it to reinstate grants. The Treasury could bank it as a saving. It is possible to do this in a progressive way
