"Don't over-improve your weaknesses. If you're not good at something, work on it until it no longer prevents your progress, but the bulk of your time is better spent maximizing your strengths."

@mehbeaton1 It’s not about reading 40 books at all. It’s about everyone reading more deeply and more widely than they did before. Kids often worry when it becomes competitive or there’s punitive grading attached. Remove these and everyone will read more. Give them time.

Educators, You have handled everything thrown at you since March. And everything has been thrown at you. But it shows you are amazing, adaptable, and stronger than you may have ever realized.

I’ve been advised not to post about the murder of Ahmaud Arbery until I calm down a bit. But that’s part of the problem, isn’t it? We calm down and go on about our business. This must end. Our black brothers and sisters need white advocates to bring this to an end. Count me in!
Have no desire to return to what was “normal”.... it’s clear God removed that for a reason. Start seeking what He deems as your new normal. Pray God holds you in this discomfort and not release you until the refinement is complete. 2 Corinthians 12:8-19
