So excited to launch this enquiry today. We’ve learnt so much about systems change, but we know there’s much more for the social sector to do to deepen our understanding. We’re really excited to work alongside others on their systems change journeys - get in touch if that’s you.
Our work in systemic change is expanding, so we are too. I’m so excited about this role and am looking for someone with experience in systems thinking, change and facilitation. Please share/drop me a line if that’s you. https://t.co/LeQWQJsVDP
At our next community of practice meeting, we’ll be talking about if and how we can maintain a long term view while bouncing from crisis to crisis. If this is on your mind too, we’d love to see you there.
We can’t change systems if our language and approaches to change are inaccessible and don’t meaningfully shift where power sits. So we’re testing some new ways to talk about systemic change. We’re constantly adapting these and we’d love to know what others think.
We really want to know how people feel about this 👇 We know the concepts of systems change can really helpfully put language and structure to a different way of understanding the world, but often we feel it can border on exclusionary. We’d love to know what you think.
I’ve had a lot of conversations this week with organisations who are asking the same questions as they develop their systems change processes and strategies. We’ll be talking about this at our community of practice meeting on 7th December. Come join us https://t.co/t96EI2FplY 2/2
When we first shared this blog last month, we didn’t know how people would respond to us talking about how we as a sector often make systems change feel really inaccessible. What I’ve heard is that a lot of people feel the same way. 1/2
Two years on from our initial research, it’s been interesting to reflect on how approaches to funding for place-based systems change have developed, and where they might have stayed the same. @KeziaJ_H shares some reflections on this from our community of practice 👇
I wrote this as I find that people often see systems change in very different ways. In reality, it’s all the approaches in this blog, but it felt helpful to show where people seem to start their systems journey. I’d love to hear if this resonates with others.
@KeziaJ_H brings so much expertise in communities of practice, asset-based community development, and much more to Renaisi. Get in touch if you’d like a chat with her!
We won’t pick a ‘favourite’ cause for #dormantassets funding because all of the causes need more money. Read @JohnHitchin's blog here on how we could think differently and use the money more effectively to strengthen the sector
We're got great jobs available. Come and join us. Project Manager role closes on Monday, get in there quick! And Principal Consultant deadline is the 12th - we're open to diverse experiences, if you're interested and want to discuss feel free to reach out https://t.co/OgCGrVQqMx
I spend my days thinking about how we work in collaboration to imagine and create better systems to tackle entrenched issues. If this is on your mind too, get in touch.
Not only does Mylene support charities, funders and local authorities to reimagine their strategies, she’s also helping us to reimagine our own strategy at Renaisi. She’s always around for a chat about strategy and impact 👇
Working at Renaisi allows me to help charities, funders, and local governments to improve their social impact. From evaluating an employment programme, to co-creating a theory of change, or exploring the power of arts & sport on social inclusion, no one day is the same!
