So after all the pre-tournament criticism, angst, and fearmongering (much done with anticipatory glee), the 2026 World Cup was a historic success. Incredible games, record crowds/viewers, and a cultural phenomenon. People were safe, entertained, and joyous. Visitors discovered, and Americans were reminded, just how wonderful our country is, all through the lens of soccer. I’m so happy for, and proud of, my country. Best World Cup ever. Thank you, America. 🇺🇸
Ronaldo, taking the field now for Portugal, had two games of his red card suspension removed by FIFA on appeal. If it hadn’t been, he would have missed the first two games of the World Cup. Zero outrage from anyone over this appeal being granted. Explain the difference. Thanks.
Funny, I was told repeatedly on live TV that the Supreme Court is a wholly owned Trump subsidiary and, therefore, it must be expanded immediately by somewhere between 4 and 4,000 new lib justices.
There's the World Cup and a whole bunch of other shit going on, please seek out a therapist if you're spending more than a few moments thinking about the White House Reflecting Pool.
🚨 JUST IN: Zohran Mamdani announces the Knicks watch party he’s been touting outside Madison Square Garden is CANCELLED
Presumably, it’s because these animals have ZERO self-control
They just can’t blame Trump this time 🤣🤡
Mayor Mamdani would not march today in NYC…at the march for Israel…..but former Mayor Mike Bloomberg did with NYC Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch …Mamdani is the first Mayor not to march this parade in over 60 years
Abdul Carter says he has a “responsibility” to address Jaxson Dart’s political opinions. Why? Everyone can share their own opinions. Carter didn’t do that. He attacked Dart’s opinions. And now he’s doing it in uniform at work, which Dart never did. Moron.
Karen Bass just violated election law here. She is so accustomed to breaking the law with no accountability, she even filmed herself doing it. Well, those days are over. We just filed a formal complaint for illegally gaming the election. We must protect our democracy.
Electioneering within 100 feet of a ballot box is AGAINST THE LAW. Soliciting votes at a ballot box is AGAINST THE LAW. These clear violations show a reckless disregard for the rule of law and our democratic process. Someone in a position of power should be especially respectful of our democratic laws, but this is just emblematic of Karen's mafia-like regime. It's "rules for thee, but not for me".
Here is the formal complaint we filed this morning. We will uphold the rule of law and our democratic norms. Enjoy your conference calls with your lawyers, Karen!
Quick timeline of the takes surrounding Lakers-Rockets, with a prediction on tomorrow’s.

April 20th: “If LeBron pulls this off I’ll call him the GOAT.”
April 22nd: “The Rockets are frauds!”
April 25th: “The Rockets are the dumbest team I’ve ever seen! Anyone would beat them!”
April 30th: “The Lakers are cooked & LeBron is exhausted. Rockets in 7.”
May 1st: “LeBron is going to blow a 3-0 lead & his GOAT case is over!”
May 2nd: “Yeah, the Lakers won, but it’s actually not that impressive, the Rockets were pretenders.”
Bill Maher: “Oh, big week for Kings… A weird week for Kings because King Charles of England was here. Spoke to Congress. Got a standing ovation from the people who were—used to be at the ‘No Kings’ rallies.”
So let me get this straight: the Democrats Party unanimously affirms that @ericswalwell is not fit to serve as governor of California, but it’s perfectly fine that he remain in Congress?
