All yarn for a blanket for @Shannon71393 & for my family's Christmas gifts have been acquired this morning. I'm set to begin crocheting them all next week.
Stack'em up! Only a 1/4 of the way done so far.
This is a somewhat secret project for a friend (they know about it, but not what it'll be) that I'm totally making up as I go, so I hope it works out. π€π»
Feeling a little loopy after hyperfocusing to finish the front panel of a top while also listening to/watching late-night repeats of crime shows.
I shouldn't be allowed to crochet past midnight.
HUGE pet peeve:
When yarn within the skein was joined during the production process, but not in the color order of the rest of the skein. This time only the beige was skipped.
Thankfully I have enough to cut & rejoin this time.
Does this bother anyone else?
I currently have 7 WIPs (possibly more that I've forgotten about), yet I keep having new ideas pop up that I really want to try. π My latest would be significantly larger and more time consuming than the c2c blanket I recently shared.
One of the cons (imo) to doing a c2c project with internal colorwork: all the yarn needing to be worked at once.
At this point, it's 7. By the time I get to the other corner, I'll have 18 going.
At least the heart is done, though. That's the only gray in this design.
I haven't crocheted in a few days because an idea I had in my head wasn't working out while charting & planning.
Well, I finally figured it out! Now to just figure out yarn & colors.
The only downfall to doing mostly "for pleasure" projects lately is now I have all these items I technically don't need, but really wanted to make. I'm sure the house will be flooded with crochet projects galore soon.
Alright.. time to finish this sweater!
Also, a sneak peek at the special design is posted on tiktok. Make sure to check it out! https://t.co/0KTBHkM5sf
I absolutely LOVE how everything turned out on the front, but since that's still a surprise, enjoy this shot of the wrong side of intarsia crochet with carries.
I should finish this sweater either tomorrow night or Sunday afternoon. π€π»
I'm back on tiktok and just posted my first video. Make sure you go follow!
Currently focusing on sharing progress of the sweater I'm designing.

I caved and bought the yarn I wanted & needed for the main project I'll be working on for the foreseeable future. I couldn't pass up on the yarn being 50% off. I also bought enough for another large project I have planned for fall/next winter.
Also, at least one of them is going to require me to purchase yarn, going against the whole "use the yarn you already have" concept most of us crocheters/knitters are attempting.
