@amateuradam The problem is an ageing population. We need immigration for the boost they bring to the economy as well as to meet our humanitarian responsibilities.

I don’t get why we walk past the open goal. Started in the Spring it could have made a meaningful difference to energy bills this Autumn
@RestIsPolitics I don’t understand why the obvious solutions to energy pricing (more renewables, better insulation, heat pumps) are completely ignored. Why don’t politicians make this happen? Insulation schemes started in the Spring could have made a difference to this Autumn.

While the UK is resisting Ukrainian refugees, more and more small + medium-businesses face a serious labour shortage after-Brexit – and little prospect of local recruitment to fill the gap – with consequences right across the supply chain. We need more openness to immigration.
