WA Verify is one way to show proof of vaccination if you are fully vaccinated. WA Verify gives you a SMART Health Card QR Code that you can keep on your phone and scan anywhere that requires proof, such as events or restaurants. Get your QR code now: https://t.co/wfidvlcuWp.
The highly infectious #OmicronVariant is spreading quickly. In the coming week, Omicron cases in @KingCountyWA projected to spike to levels 3X higher than highest peaks seen in the pandemic. @UWMedicine and @fredhutch outline steps to prepare in our blog: https://t.co/TFnPhyBwhw
"These are the darkest days for healthcare... And you can help. If you #getvaccinated today and if you begin wearing a #mask, I will likely never meet you and you will help open up our beds...all our hospitals are full." - Dr. Steve Mitchell @harborviewmc@UWMedicine
Happy Labor Day. All work is noble. A special thanks to health care workers who work so hard to save lives from COVID. They are tireless, & deal with the frustration that this is a preventable disease, if people would get vaccinated. They deserve a place in our hearts right now.
This Delta variant is no joke.
We need everyone to roll up their sleeves and get their shot. This is about protecting you, your family, and your community.
WA state will follow current CDC guidance and I am asking Washingtonians statewide to consider wearing a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission. This is a recommendation, not a requirement.
We are also continuing our existing school guidance, which matches with the CDC’s masking guidance for the upcoming school year in K-12. All students and employees will be required to wear masks around each other in school buildings.
Congratulations to Marissa, our latest winner of the "Shot of a Lifetime" lottery. Marissa is a pre-nursing student & won $250,000 just for getting vaccinated. She’s demonstrates we all can be leaders by telling our stories & encouraging loved ones to get this lifesaving vaccine.
Washingtonians are getting vaccinated to protect themselves, their families and their communities. We are encouraged by the progress and we will likely hit the 70% goal before June 30 - but only if more Washingtonians get this lifesaving vaccine.
To be clear: Washingtonians who have been vaccinated (regardless of when) are eligible. This includes people who got vaccinated before this announcement.
If you got vaccinated in the last couple months, or last week or tomorrow, you are eligible.
