After their son, Fitewrari Aray, shot and killed Captain Bettini, the people of Adi-tekeliezan celebrated with happiness and took it as their revenge for Dazmach Hadgembes Gulbet. The Italians heard about the doings of Adi-tekeliezan and brought death to the whole village.

Vengeance of the Italians.
After their defeat, the Italians came back with much more force, murdered the people and burned the villages of Deqi-Sh’hay and Adi-N’amin of Anseba. The Italians killed the Administrator/Kentiba Tesfaxion of Adi-N’amin in front of his people.

The #loss of the Italians
Twenty thousand forces led by #Dazmach Abara Kasa of #Xe’zega defeated the powerful Italian army in the battle of #Walta-Medhanit(Deqi Sh’hay-Anseba) on #March the 15th of #1892. The Italian army was led by Captain Bettini, who #died in the battle.

After the death of their leader, the people of Adi-tekeliezan agreed to join forces with Dazmach Abera Kasa of Xe’azega & fought against the Italian army in the battle of Walta-Medhanit(Anseba) in 1892. #Fitewrari Aray from Adi-tekeliezan killed the Italian Captain, Bettini.

The disparity of Dazmach Hadgembes Gulbet of #Adi-tekeliezan & Dazmach Abera Kasa of #Xe’azega, gave the Italians Freedom&Power over the Nation&itsPeople. Because of his power, the Italians decided to #Capture&Threw Dazmach Hadgembes in the middle of the #RedSea & left him to die

Battle of #Ghindae.
In September 1889, Dazmach Mesfin fought the Italians in Ghindae. He was defeated and killed. The Italians faced no opposition and no challenge of any, to colonize the whole region. In January 1890, the Italians announced the creation of the colony of Eritrea.

In the end of 1886, Dazmach Mesfin W/Michael & Dazmach Tesfa Nexaray broke jail and headed toward #Midri-Bahri to free their people. General Alula run away to Tigray in 1887. Dazmach Mesfin ruled Midri-Bahri from 1887-1889

Alula's invasion of Midri-Bahri.
After the plot, Alula took his army and settled in Midri-Bahri. He applied the known philosophy "Divide and conquer" towards the almost dying r/ship of the Midri-Bahri chief rulers. They remain enemies until the coming of the Italian colonization.

The one's strong friendship.
Degiat Neguse Wedi Elfu of #Kuatit raised the idea of releasing Ra'esi Weldemichael Selomun & his generals from Axum. The idea was refused by Degyat Hadgembes of #Adi-Tekeliezan & chief tribes of #Tseazega. The situation stayed unresolved.

In 1879, Ra'esi Weldemichael Selomun arrived in #Axum with his generals, Dazmach Mesfin Weldemichael, Dazmach Tesfa Nexaray & Reasi Hailemelekot, to talk about #PeaceAgreement. Upon their arrival, they were Betrayed&Imprisoned by general Alula of #Tigray.

The Naibs of Hirgigo had come to the rescue of Midri-Bahri (now southern region of Eritrea) a couple of times. The Midri-Bahri have never allowed any invaders crossing the highlands to invade #EritreanRedSea. The Midri-Bahri bled for the Red Sea just like the Naibs & Barka

In 17th C, the #Mahdist were viciously exploiting Barka (now #Eritrean lowlands). The alliance btwn Weldemichael Selomun of Midri-Bahri (1841-1878), the Naibs & ppl of Barka, defeated Mahdist in Gundet (1875) & Gura’e (1876) & led to a powerful unity.
