@OpenAI I don't post much, but as soon as I saw this pop up in Codex I wanted to get on X and saw thank you! My brain has been on fire with ideas but even on the Pro plan I have been rationing usage.
@theo Looking forward to the React Native app, but the mobile web version is already way more stable than the ChatGPT Codex app. Surely there’s an engineer at OpenAI thinking, “I’m going to fix this because I want to use this feature” or “I take pride in my work” 🤔
@rough__sea I’m not trying to imply that consideration or common sense are universal. I’ve seen enough farm hands that would benefit from being stuffed into a cage to be pecked for a while.
@rough__sea My parents owned and ran the biggest turkey farm in the state for around 13 years. Keeping the birds happy was the top priority. A stressed animal doesn’t convert feed to body mass efficiently, so there’s a financial benefit to being considerate.
@masonddudley@theo Is there a style name for GPT’s default frontend designs? I just call it “rounded cards and eyebrows and too many headings” but if we can learn its real name we’ll have power over it.
@kentcdodds For many years now I’ve been haunted by two open letters from engineers formerly of Blackberry and the Microsoft Internet Explorer team about their managers and senior hierarchy proudly refusing to use competitors’ products, or consider the possibility that they weren’t the best.
@kenwheeler While typing this I thought about the 2026 social media drama shithead, or YouTube vibe coder buy-my-course equivalent, and now I’m just angry at society.
@kenwheeler Man, I think about the Kon-Tiki expedition all the time. Imagine living in an era when an ethnographer convince five other people to spend more than three months alone on a raft, hoping to travel 4,300 miles based on a personal hunch about ocean currents. https://t.co/73nwD58RV9
