Let's see if @BimAfolami can walk the walk and not just talk the talk and then back track like John Glenn did? These people have been legally robbed by vulture companies charging almost double the normal mortgage rates for 16 years. Government pocketed 2.4bn from the sell off!
County Durham 'mortgage prisoner' scared she could lose home | ITV News Tyne Tees @BimAfolami @itvnews @mortgageprison You need to more than than the last few. No more lip service https://t.co/1t2qRKHAIt
Good luck to the @mortgageprison today as the meet @BimAfolami and other treasury ministers for their long fight for justice for those unfairly discriminated against after been sold to unscrupulous vultures who impose rates far above BOE rates.
Please see our full 3-minute video campaign for all #mortgageprisoners . Action for those sold out by there own government . @BimAfolami i hope you're ready to speak about solutions . #publicenquiry 250,000 effected families . @JohnGlenUK@griffitha all ignored thousands
@RishiSunak Can you explain why Richard banks recieved a CBE for services to the UK taxpayer in 2016 when he left #mortgageprisonersscandal in financial ruin?

@BimAfolami Please take action to finally obtain justice for #mortgageprisoners@RishiSunak please ensure your ministers actually take action before another TV drama has to force MPs into action.
So it's no over night fix @RishiSunak? Their own faults @JohnGlenUK? Will you fail to act like John @BimAfolami ? No wonder this country is on its knees and no faith in its MPs
16 years and still no justice, blamed as been their own fault by the government who sit idle as people lose their homes, mental health and sadly some their lives. But the government made billions from selling their mortgages off to vulture firms who charge astronomical rates.
No overnight solution? Yet they've known the detriment it would cause whilst the ink was drying on the sale contracts 16yrs ago. Another historic govt scandal that has ruined families lives, that they've tried to brush under the carpet & victim blame. Time to put right the wrongs
All their own fault according to @JohnGlenUK when asked to look into it after Martin Lewis raised concerns. Blamed for the using Northern Rock when the banks crashed. Scandalous.
Like, obviously I know swap rates ! Gilt yields! Markets! Markets! But, seriously, how can you justify putting a mortgage prisoner onto a rate which they would never have passed affordability on when they bought the home? It’s a serious question.
Thank you @Victoria_Spratt for asking that question. Mortgage prisoners stuck on rates over 9% paying over £1k a month but told they cannot afford to pay lower monthly payments? While @JohnGlenUK told MPs it's their fault as own bad debts but majority have no debts.
A circle I cannot square, both personally while remortgaging and professionally while investigating mortgage prisoners: it’s hard to pass affordability when applying for a mortgage but banks are quite happy to put you into a rate they know you can’t afford once you have one 🤨
Who do you want to play you @JohnGlenUK ? Not long now before your dragged into the public eye to explain why you lied to all the Westminster MPs about it been the fault of the victims of the #MortgagePrisonerScandal@BBCPanorama
I wonder who @JohnGlenUK would like to play him when a #MortgagePrisonerScandal TV expose documentary is under way? Sadly Alan Rickman who played the ultimate buddy has passed away and was far to likeable to play Glen anyway.
I hope everyone kept those letters their MPs sent as a reply when seeking help/justice for mortgage prisoners. All the same replies word for word dismissing their complaints and calls for help. Almost like some one wrote a standard letter in a attempt at a cover up!!🤔🤔
