'We feel abandoned' – 13,000 mortgage prisoners moved from hidden Co-op Bank inactive lenders to another inactive lender. Co-op Bank & @CoventryBS could have offered all these people good value fixed rates https://t.co/ezcdHIKuXb
@LucyRigby Where are your solutions for the mortgage prisoners excluded from the mortgage market, losing their lives & homes due to the extortionate rates the non lenders are charging. You showed concern in Jan, yet still nothing. Almost 20yrs of financial detriment must end now
@LucyRigby,will you start helping #mortgageprisoners as you promised in january. Those voters who @UKLabour are meant to represent. We have continued to ask for awnsers, but nothing ! Meanwhile, thousands more have been sold on again https://t.co/nKpI3lqYvX. Nothing has been done
Should companies like Kensington Mortgages be allowed to sell their mortgages to collection only credit brokers without having responsibility for extending mortgage terms that would otherwise lead to or threaten homelessness? @TheFCA@UKLabour#MortgagePrisoners#mortgage#UK
Thank you for taking the time to discuss the solutions needed to free #ukmortgageprisoners
We look forward to working together to end a govt caused scandal which has inflicted 16yrs of financial detriment & trauma on to homeowners & their children
Thank you to Rachel Neale & Jill Hulme of @mortgageprison for coming into @hmtreasury to meet with me yesterday. Very grateful to them for time they took to discuss with me the difficulties mortgage prisoners continue to face
@BBCNews@mortgageprison@UKLabour@Conservatives for years mortgage prisoners have been calling for help from sky high interest rates . We are told we can’t afford a cheaper mortgage . Every goverment promises to help and again they ignore us
@SteveReedMP Have you ever heard of mortgage prisoners, there's over 250,000 of them paying rate's of over 10% interest on their mortgage repayments because the government sold their mortgages to inactive lenders ,their homes are being repossessed at record numbers they need your help please
And historic pre GFC interest only mortgages happily sold by brokers with no repayment vehicles resulting in trapped customers following post crash regulatory change. Customers with no arrears, term end approaching and no effective policy protections for those customers
@JonIronmonger UKMP have warned industry and govts that huge rises in homelessness and reposessions are around the corner. Our members have been paying over 6% since the 2008 crash with non lenders and no help. Govt sold us out! Members repossessed or forced to sell
Would really be interested in a conversation with @timstks Laurence Cawley @stephen_menon@JessicaMCUre The risk of homelessness from forced sales & repos our member's are experiencing is reaching crisis point. Trapped on SVRs up to 10% with inactive lenders the govt sold to
Those safeguards were taken away for 200k #mortgageprisoners when our mortgages were sold for a profit to inactive lenders, charged 6% SVR since 2008 now paying up to 10%
@hmtreasury@LucyRigby@TheFCA@UKFtweets all ignoring the most vulnerable with highest risk of homelessness
Wld like to know how many of the mortgage repos were from inactive lenders whose only aim is to make a profit off their customers charged high interest rates, cause yrs of financial detriment until the families are left with choice, forced sale or repossession #mortgageprisoners

FFS if it wasn't bad enough that my mortgage got sold to a company that no longer lends so I can't get a better deal/extend my term, the bastards have now sold it on to a subsidiary of Topaz Finance so I'm even worse off as I've seen the horror stories of other mortgage prisoners
Thanks again for highlighting the devastating stories #mortgageprisoners are living due to govt & regulators decision to make a profit over people's homes. Finances, homes & lives have been lost & will continue until @hmtreasury@LucyRigby support the families over the vultures
See this Instagram video by @theipaper https://t.co/qAY8SF9v5E Another #ukmortgageprisoner family let down by @hmtreasury@LucyRigby@TheFCA@UKFtweets How many homes & lives are you happy to happen before something is done. Time to support the people rather than profits
