Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is catching hell from parents on both sides after they learned he sold them a lie that a baby died of measles.

But it just got darker….

The coroner’s office confirmed the infant’s tissue was sent out for PCR testing.

Now officials in Lancaster are speculating that they ran the same playbook they ran during COVID: crank the cycle threshold until a whisper becomes a “positive.”, but do it with Measles.

Kary Mullis, the man who invented PCR, said it himself: “If you do it well, you can find almost anything in anybody. It lets you take a minuscule amount of anything and make it measurable.”

It looks more and more like they took tissue from a dead infant and amplified it until the result said what they wanted. Then they used that result to frighten everyone into getting vaccinated.

Wheat prices are surging.

US wheat futures jumped +6.4% on Wednesday and +1.3% on Thursday, to $7.58 per bushel, the highest level since July 2023.

Wheat prices have risen +19% so far this month, and are up +50% since the start of 2026.

This comes amid growing concerns about further disruptions to grain-export ports and terminals along Ukraine's and Russia's Black Sea coast.

Russia and Ukraine together account for more than 25% of global wheat exports, while also supplying significant amounts of global barley, corn, and sunflower oil exports.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's agricultural exports in the 2026-27 season are now expected to be 29.6 million tons, or -54% lower than the previous estimate of 64.4 million tons, according to its agriculture ministry.

Another wave of food inflation may be on its way.

Scott Bessent has apparently discovered a pot of nearly a trillion dollars sitting in the Treasury General Account and decided the clever thing to do is spend it buying back America’s own bonds. Which is a bit like finding your emergency savings and using them to bid up the price of your own house so the neighbours stop asking questions.

Here’s what he doesn’t seem to grasp. The intervention isn’t the problem. The signal is. Healthy bond markets don’t need the Treasury Secretary wading in with the national piggy bank. The moment you do it, every trader on Earth concludes that something, somewhere, is quietly on fire.

So Bessent thinks he’s projecting strength, calm hands on the wheel and all that. What he’s actually doing is standing in the middle of the market shouting “nothing to see here” through a megaphone. Markets always believe the megaphone.

🚨 🇺🇸 BESSENT JUST CALLED A MONDAY PRESS CONFERENCE AS THE U.S. BOND MARKET STARTS BREAKING AGAIN

The Treasury Secretary will address the public at 2:00 pm ET.

The timing is fucking insane.

The 30-year U.S. Treasury yield just hit 5.34%. Highest level since 2007.

Washington responded by doubling long-bond buybacks, from $2 billion to at least $4 billion per operation.

Yields dropped immediately.

But within one day most of that move was erased, and the 30-year was back near its peak.

Bessent has already said the buybacks could be increased even further.

U.S. debt is now above $40 trillion, and the cost of financing it keeps rising.

The Treasury is trying to calm a bond sell-off that refuses to stay down.

This announcement will move the entire market.
