We are very proud of all the students entered into the Bebras competion this year...all of yr 8, all of yr 9, 5 classes in rr 7 & 1 class in year 10, they all did amazingly...we have 22 students going through to the OUCC round! A class of proud Year 8s with their certificates.
The two remaining students one in year 9 achieved a Distinction award and year 8 best in school for their category, very well done. This is the first year of the school entering and so very proud of them all.
I am pleased to share with you the success of 4 of our students who opted to participate in the Bebras 2022 Computaional Thinking Challenge Competition. All 4 did really well, with two from year 7, achieving the Gold Award Top whicg is for those who came in the top 10% Nationally
What an amazing day yesterday at the First Lego League Competition, the students are a testiment to our school demonstrating very evidently our school values, so much so that Beverley Grammar Team 1 brought home the much revered Core Values Trophy, well done to Team 1 & Team 2
The Lego Trip will be arriving back at school in approximately 20 minutes. The teams have had a lovely day, with some real determination and resilience shown.
And we are on out way to the First Lego League Trip, two teams for the regional, first time back since 2016...let's see how we get on....photos to follow #firstlegoleague
A bit of outside activity today for yr 9s, learning about networks, data packets,and how they traverse across networks. Didn't quite qork as smoothly as I would have liked so yr 9s will be trying an alternative way tomorrow.
