Congratulations to the Radnor Township Finance Department as they receive the 2023 GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting 👏

Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Township of Radnor for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

"I am very proud of the work produced by the Finance Department, under the leadership of our Finance Director, Bob Tate, and especially our Assistant Finance Director, Amy Lacey, who oversees the annual audit and financial statement development project," said Bill White, Township Manager. "There is no other element of our organization more critical than making sure that our assets are safeguarded, accounted for appropriately, and report accurately. Every aspect of the Finance Department’s mission is aimed at achieving these goals."

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

"The recognition from the GFOA, coupled with the unqualified opinions provided by the independent auditors in each of the last 13 years is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of our Finance Department. Of course, this could not be done without the support and cooperation from all our departments, along with the support of the Board of Commissioners who mandate a clear direction and provide the necessary resources," said White.
