@narindertweets Can I also just add: I think parenting matters, but so does context. In many former mill, mining and industrial towns, generations grew up expecting stable local jobs When those industries disappeared it changed entire communities. Children often absorb what they see around them
@narindertweets If a town had stable jobs for generations, people could leave school at 16 and get decent work.
When those industries disappear, the jobs vanish but the culture and expectations don't change overnight.
@narindertweets You should also argue that parenting does matter enormously, but so do poverty, economic decline, school quality, local opportunities, health, and other factors.
@allenanalysis I don’t think anyone is saying they haven’t. Again spinning it to suit the narrative. There’s no integration is there? Thats the problem.
Someone I know has a child that goes to a school where other children have said that Christmas is bad. I also have another friend who’s a teacher at a school were some kids have said that they are not allowed to eat were Christian’s eat. Like what!
@MrBrendanCox People aren’t saying immigrants are to blame. Stop changing the narrative!!! Social media… again! Twisting it!!!! It’s the people that come here illegally with no documents! This gentleman is a working class citizen!!! No one is complaining about the fact he’s an immigrant!
