“the thought of you coming back is the only thing keeping me alive! kasi kung ako lang ayoko na.”

oh, man... there’s something unbearably tragic about the way cisco says this because it no longer sounds like a man trying to save a relationship, it sounds like a man who no longer remembers HOW to survive outside of it.

and what makes cheska’s response even more painful is how still it feels. walang bargaining, walang retaliation. just a woman who has already carried the relationship’s death inside her for so long that leaving became quieter than staying.

but that final line from cisco… god 😭

“kasi kung ako lang ayaw ko na.”

that’s not just heartbreak speaking anymore, that’s someone admitting that the only thing separating him from complete emotional collapse is the fantasy that she might still return.

which completely reframes the love story. because suddenly, cisco is no longer asking cheska to come back out of romance alone. he’s asking her to come back because without her, he is forced to confront himself fully... the failure, the emptiness, the version of his life he no longer knows how to inhabit.

and the cruelest part is that you can feel how much cheska still loves him, too. she just understands something he doesn’t yet, it's that love cannot keep carrying the full weight of another person’s will to live.
