@toly@Mavericks100xs@Marcus12King@netanyahu Legitimacy doesnโt imply incompetence, and authoritarian systems arenโt automatically more competent either. Both can be effective or ineffective depending on institutions, incentives, and constraints.
I sent you a DM, I'd appreciate it if you checked it.
@toly@Mavericks100xs@Marcus12King@netanyahu Neutrality isnโt just a preference, itโs also about actions and alignment. Russia isnโt neutral because it actively pursues geopolitical influence and military interventions.

@toly@Mavericks100xs@Marcus12King@netanyahu You might be confusing NATO with a strategy game. Austria is neutral, and thereโs no invasion scenario here.

@toly@Mavericks100xs@Marcus12King@netanyahu There wasnโt one main negotiator Soviet foreign policy wasnโt centralized around a single figure like that.

@toly@Mavericks100xs@Marcus12King@netanyahu That kind of single cause personality explanation ignores the structural political, economic, and social conditions that actually drove the Revolution.

@toly@Mavericks100xs@Marcus12King@netanyahu Nukes constrain direct escalation between major powers they donโt enable conventional invasions. Ukraine, Syria, Georgia are driven by regional and proxy dynamics, not nuclear cover.

That's actually a more interesting argument than saying Egypt caused the Soviet decline.
If your point is that Egypt marked the high-water mark of Soviet geopolitical influence, I can see the case for that. But I'd still argue the decline itself came from deeper structural problems that were already there and only became visible later.
So maybe Egypt wasn't the cause of the fall it was the moment the USSR stopped gaining ground and started defending what it already had.
@toly@Mavericks100xs@netanyahu You're describing a timeline, not proving causation. A country can peak before a decline without the next major event being the cause of that decline.
By the way, if you're interested in Beyblades, I'm building one on Solana, so following me would be a great support.๐
@toly@rickandsol@Mavericks100xs@netanyahu The timing lines up, but that doesn't prove causation. Egypt was a strategic loss for Moscow, sure. But the USSR didn't collapse because it lost Egyptโit collapsed because its economic and political model couldn't keep up.
That's a bit of an oversimplification. Egypt wasn't permanently aligned with the USSR, and Sadat eventually expelled Soviet advisors before moving closer to the U.S. The Cold War's outcome was influenced by many factorsโeconomic performance, technology, internal Soviet issues, and global alliancesโnot just the Arab-Israeli wars.
