I got a hug from @amaarae. What did you do today?? It was so amazing to meet her. She's so cool. I want to be like her when I grow up. ๐คฃ๐คฃโค๏ธโค๏ธ
I'm not ignorant. I'm stating facts. Ya'll argue on here about numbers more than Ya'll actually listen to music and wonder why the artists you're dying on hills for numbers are a shit show. ๐ Numbers can be manipulated, this is why I need ya'll to go outside instead of being keyboard warriors. The numbers don't reflect the real love and that's the part ya'll keep missing.
Yes, numbers. Like number of albums your fave didn't SELL. Because streaming numbers are not the only avenue to success. Ya'll obsess over streaming numbers like crack heads obsessed over obtaining their next rock. ๐๐ And then wonder why ya'll are missing half the picture.
I hate when people try discrediting numbers in music
Yes it doesn't determine song or artist quality but we can genuinely use such criteria to judge whether a hit song or album is timeless
For example, album doing 5m daily streams after 10years is nothing short of timeless
Ya'll be hyping the wrong people and then say "Music is declining", "This genre is declining." When really a lot of this shit was never meant to be mainstream money.
"you can't be pro black and have a non black partner" crowd when you ask them to talk about black femicide, genocide in countries with large black populations, ableism against black disabled people, or violence against queer black people
@blackmirrorexia i have streamed 3/4 artists you named yet you PROMISE i havenโtโฆ me not liking tate mcrae doesnโt mean i donโt stream black womenโฆ if anything i want more black women to succeed like fomf
