So busy recently & sorry I've not had a chance to respond to some messages but wanted to check in & wish you all a Merry Christmas. Look after yourselves, especially if this is a tough time of year for you. Hope you get in plenty of self care in-between any festivities โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐๐ ๐
@Natalie09769860@CaraLisette@WillReidWeb The Tories are selling the NHS right under our noses! A recent independent fact checking website found money spent on private contracts has increased by 90% with the Tories.... I wonder how many of those private companies are linked to UK politicians or.. even worse Trump...
@CaraLisette Bless her that is awful & being that down about family and friends so far away surely is not going to help recovery. My friend is also bordering on admission at the moment & she has previously been 200 miles away from her family for treatment as a teenager. Just not good enough.
This is awful. NHS cuts are costing lives. Four weeks ago I was told I was bordering on an admission and to think this could be me is horrendous.
PLEASE donโt vote Tory.

@JamesConlon_ So sorry nothing has worked out so far for you. Sounds like you've done really well getting interviews but maybe much competition for roles. I'm moving into a new sector myself & my new job is paid far less. Can you afford to take a cut in wages to get your foot in the door?
The Conservatives keep telling us they wonโt privatise the NHS.
But the truth is the value of contracts given to non-NHS providers has soared by 89% since 2015.
Please RT if you think everyone should know what is really happening.

Not been productive for a couple of days as feeling unwell (physically). Trying to resist the urge to over-compensate and do too much today! Plenty of #selfcare required! How is everyone else doing today?
Comparing ourselves to others who make things "look" effortless is not only unhelpful, it's usually not the truth. We each have different strengths and weaknesses, and that is fine. YOUR best is good enough.

@KarenAd89081735 Hey Karen! Sorry things are so tough right now. It's difficult to get the balance right sometimes & I can empathise with the frustration of people thinking a good patch means all is better! You've got lots going on so hope you're able to get support & look after yourself x
@BipolarBlogger Thank! I hope I do okay! I find reading others thoughts & experiences on it useful as I have had questions myself about this stuff. It strikes me as important to encourage open feedback & discussion on the role and what is & isnt helpful - something I'll be sure to implement :-)
@KarenAd89081735@BipolarBlogger All q's I have talked to my own therapist about! Everyone is different & a lot of good MH professionals have lived experience. I think it's necessary to carefully evaluate if it is helpful for you to do as a job b/c your 'wellness' is likely to affect the support you provide.
@BipolarBlogger@m4delen I am peer support worker & am trained to the same level as a 'normal' SW. I talked with my therapist carefully about the role & I will be thinking carefully about self disclosure & when it is & isn't helpful to go to work if I am struggling myself. These issues are so important!
@m4delen@BipolarBlogger The pay is poor. I was in admin before and this role is more responsibility but pays ยฃ4k/pa less. But I hope it will make up for that if I can see that I make a positive difference doing it :-)
@MaxinePemberto1 @m4delen@BipolarBlogger Maxine did you feel able to share your annoyance with the group or with him? He needs to know that sort of comment is not helpful no matter how many cups he washes!
@MaxinePemberto1 @m4delen@BipolarBlogger Oh dear :-( paid or unpaid I would have challenged that comment! Unfortunately being paid or qualified doesnt automatically mean people are decent at a job!
