Per @AdamSchefter “Breaking: Further testing today revealed Giants QB Jaxson Dart’s knee injury is worse than initially thought, and the team and Dart now are facing the possibility of season-ending knee surgery, sources tell ESPN.

Of all the QB injuries suffered in Week 2, Dart’s is turning out to easily be the most significant.”

Pierce aggravated his surgically repaired heel and is likely headed to injured reserve, according to NFL Network. He will initially rehab without surgery, with a possible midseason return if recovery goes well; surgery remains a fallback if rehab fails.

Pierce — stash on IR: He’s unavailable for at least several weeks.
Josh Downs and Tyler Warren — rise: Both should gain target opportunity.
Darius Slayton — deep-league watch: He has agreed to join Indianapolis and could inherit some vertical routes, aided by his prior chemistry with Daniel Jones.
Colts’ deep passing game — downgraded: Slayton shouldn’t immediately be viewed as a full replacement for Pierce.
