@DaniSaik@MaterialBarb@iamcardib Rotten house went to a protest with the gun visible looking for trouble . No reason at for a 17yo being in that environment. What’s wrong with having a pocket knife? It’s is multi purpose tool.
@Saved5872@nicksortor I agree.. But the issue is some are able to walk free, Zimmerman and Rittenhouse are examples. Both literally went looking for trouble with guns and both walked free. Why can’t the judicial system make the punishment fair for ALL!
@Saved5872@nicksortor But why touch him at all. Why not go to the authority figure and let them handle it. You shouldn’t put your hands on anyone without permission. It was a lot ego and testosterone making decisions in the horrible situation.
@solxx11111 @Muskslostson@MaterialBarb@iamcardib Well he received a good sentence. Hopefully he gets the rehabilitation and therapy needed to make decisions not based on emotion.
@solxx11111 @Muskslostson@MaterialBarb@iamcardib If it was raining and Im outside in a public setting and someone wants to come under my tent, I WOULD LET THEM.The adults should have stepped in if it were an issue. The SRO was nearby. It’s horrible he died. I wish the adults would have handled and the teens.
@Muskslostson @solxx11111 @MaterialBarb@iamcardib It was not just a push, he lifted him. Ratclif was bigger and on the football team. You can kill or cause great bodily injury to someone with your hands and no weapon.
@Saved5872@nicksortor But he had no right to touch him.
It was raining Im would think the people who made the “rules” would be okay with a kid getting out of the rain momentarily. Karmelo went in the tent and sat, where is the harm. If the coach wanted him out he could have told the SRO.
@Muskslostson @solxx11111 @MaterialBarb@iamcardib Not just a push. He was a linebacker on the football team he lifted him. He was sitting in a chair while Ratclif is standing over him threatening him. Ratclif touched Karmelo first. If someone is standing over you fussing will you feel threatened?
@Muskslostson @solxx11111 @MaterialBarb@iamcardib I agree they do cover for each other. That’s the problem it should be universal punishment standards enforced. Unfortunately it’s not, it is well documented blacks have consistently received longer sentences for exact same crimes committed by another race.
@Muskslostson @solxx11111 @MaterialBarb@iamcardib If you feel threatened you are able to defend yourself. My issue with this case is the consistency of punishment in regards to color. Example Amber Guyger killing an unarmed man in his home. Killer receives 10 years. Punishment should be universal not based on color.
@Muskslostson@MaterialBarb@iamcardib Amber Guyger killed an unarmed man and get 10 years. Where is the fairness. It’s simple punishment should be consistent no matter race.
@Saved5872@nicksortor Asked to leave the tent while raining and shoved. Treated like an animal. I would want to stay covered in a tent in the rain wouldn’t you? Why was he shoved??Because they didn’t want to share
@Muskslostson @solxx11111 @MaterialBarb@iamcardib If you’re being attacked you have a right to defend yourself. If you don’t agree with someone name calling is what ignorant people do to deflect. A mature adult can have a conversation without trying to belittle the other person. We don’t have to agree but disrespect not needed
@Muskslostson@MaterialBarb@iamcardib You’re very mature I see. Name calling is so elementary.
A 17yo should be in that environment. I never said he wasn’t right to defend himself. Karmelo was punished for defending himself though.
