@UTD_Waltz@LostAcck@ImperiusRagnars@BusbyBabes90@Muppetiers How do you know Kamason isn’t ready when he hasn’t been tested? The only way to know whether an academy player is ready is to trust them and give them the opportunity to prove themselves. By your logic, no academy player would ever be considered ready to play for United.
@chestermanutd3 Kamason times his underlapping runs really well, but most of the time his teammates aren’t playing the ball into his path. If they can find him more often on those runs, he’ll cause a lot of damage with his dribbling and crossing ability in the final third.
@preciousebuka6@Cantonadevils And how do they show that if they are not given the opportunity at the top level? I think their readiness should be measured by what they have done at the youth level. Most of them have shown that consistency and have outgrown that level.
@preciousebuka6@Cantonadevils And you can’t judge that if Kamason hasn’t been given the opportunity to prove himself. But a good indication is that he has performed consistently at every level where he's had the opportunity.
@MUFCIeo_ @StevenDonovan02@mufcacademy91 All 3 are highly rated, especially Kamason. Devaney is a decent DM, and I’d rate him above T. Fletcher. Kokonki’s best position is at CB, but he seems to be competing with Dan Armer and has therefore been pushed to LB.
@TheWavyRedd I would’ve given Noah Ajahi a chance instead. He’s younger, more talented, and a better prospect. I’d say this new approach of looking outside rather than within is killing our academy kids’ careers. There are already better players in the academy.
@HarryCoker24@Cephas_me If you’ve watched him through the age groups you’ll know he’s good defensively. But at the top level I think he just av to be proactive in locking down his man rather than relying to react with his pace. That’s an easy coachable fix.
@Sureboytl Even the best FBs in the world will get eaten by the fast, tricky, and physical wingers. The boy will develop and step up to the task. Same was said about Trent Alexander.
@oIiveredwards So who’s the 3rd choice RB? Please don’t say Yoro bcos he’s not one and he’s terrible at defending angles against wingers and that was very clear during Amorim’s when he plays 3 at the back.
@oIiveredwards Do you mean 4 FBs competing for two positions? Yoro isn’t a FB and never will be a good one. Even if we sign a LB, Amass can still compete for minutes. On the right, we already have Dalot and Mazraoui, but given their age, Kamason should be around the first team as an understudy.
@oIiveredwards But you’re already singled out some players who you think feel far off. I guess there is a spot for grab in every position in the pitch. Let’s hope the kids do well and grab their chances during this preseason.
