United States of America fought 4 years Civil War. They recovered, but Nigeria 🇳🇬 fought 3 years Civil War, but we have not recovered. Some are even using the Civil War to negotiate the presidency.
The United States has never experienced a successful Military coup d'ètat but in 60 years, Nigeria 🇳🇬 experienced 8 major Military 🪖 coups (6 successful, 2 unsuccessful) and in a trial is on going for what could be tagged 3rd unsuccessfu coup in Nigeria.
Happy Birthday to the United States of America

The definition of Harry "England Saviour" Kane by the football commentator
"The amalgamation of the great scorers who have gone before, the perception of Rooney, the power of Shearer, and the finishing prowess of Lineker, he is (Kane) the Supreme package. It Harry Kane's Day".
Let me explain the absurdity of this UK politics using the politics of my country, Nigeria.
Imagine this scenario:
The President of Nigeria, let’s call him Sir Keir Starmer — is accused of not performing well after just two years in office, despite taking over after 14 years of what many describe as a disastrous opposition government. Before winning the general election, he had already spent six years leading his party.
Now imagine that a state governor within his own party — Andy Burnham — who twice failed in his ambition to become the party leader and also failed in his attempt to become President, decides to step down as governor of his state.
(And I am tempted to call Greater Manchester a “region” because it contains 11 major areas.)
He then contests for a Senate seat — or, in Nigerian terms, a House of Representatives seat — in a very small part of that same region and wins.
Boom! He gets sworn in as a senator, and then immediately begins a journey to become President of Nigeria, because a percentage of senators from his own party (not across party lines, but strictly from his party) decide to support him.
The same person could then be in line to lead Nigeria and oversee the affairs of neighbouring countries like Cameroon, Benin Republic and Niger.
This is the kind of political structure that sounds completely unbelievable when explained through the lens of another country.
Sometimes, understanding another nation’s politics requires imagining it happening in your own backyard. Only then do you realise how unusual some systems can appear to outsiders.
Good luck Sir K.
🚨 BREAKING: Keir Starmer gets emotional as he resigns as Prime Minister
"I shall spend more time on the most important job. Being the best husband I can to my fantastic wife Vic... and being best dad I can to my beautiful children, who have been my pride and joy"
Conservative Party:
David Cameron (6yrs 2 Months)
Theresa May (3years)
Boris Johnson (3 yrs 1 month)
Liz Truss (49 days)
Rishi Sunak (1yr 8months)
and Now:
Sir Keir Starmer (Labour)
This is not progress, not stability, not politics, just power grab system. The expectation of Sir K to perform miracles within 2 years to clear 14 years of conservative, covid, Brexit, 2 on going wars and the Labour internal party politics especially from the over ambitious lots and losers.

Africa was divided as South Africa faced Mexico in the Fifa World Cup opening match on Thursday.
Many cheered for Mexico in what some online called a “successful hate watch”, amid tensions fuelled by recent anti-migrant unrest in South Africa.
Who did you support?
In 1966, All African counties boycotted the World Cup to protest apartheid and how black South Africans were marginalized
In 2026, All African countries supported Mexico against South Africa in protest against their xenophobia
Live long enough
Read this tweet, then read the comments. The tweet will hunt the tweeter "if, not when," the tweeter becomes the president. But i support the tweet, I think we should make going to the World Cup our birthright. Enjoy your weekend
As the World Cup Begins Without Nigeria
As the World Cup begins today across three nations, I identify with our teeming football followers and urge them not to be despondent that Nigeria is not participating, despite the abundant talent in our land.
Our failure to participate on the global stage is not due to a deficit of talent; it is a direct consequence of a deficit in leadership, planning, and institutional support.
The task of building a better Nigeria rests primarily on the shoulders of the younger generation. Do not watch the World Cup with despair; rather, see it as a reminder of where Nigeria ought to be. We must move our country from being a nation of mere consumers of global entertainment to a nation of proud producers and competitors.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
I blame President Tinubu that I and many Nigerians won't be able to invest in this Elon Musk's SpaceX. Watching the whole thing on @SkyNews is frustrating that the president has failed us. I am not interested in the #worldcup because he didn't play and pray for Super Eagles to qualify. #TinubuMustWhat
This is enough reason why Mr. Abubakar Atiku @atiku should and can never become the president of the federal Reuters of Nigeria. He deleted that tweet for whatever reason, never condemned but just moved on. How/why late President Buhari appointed Babachir the SGF and he expected his govt to perform magic should be researched. How?
When Deborah Samuel was brutally murdered in Sokoto, Atiku issued a press release condemning the action; the following day, he withdrew it and apologised, saying it was his pressmen that issued it without his approval.
Former SGF Babachir Lawal alleges that the ADC presidential flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, has no sympathy for the victims of terrorism.
