@jreulbach Nice post and congrats on a successful year in spite of everything! I'm picking up the non-AP Calculus class this year and am a bit overwhelmed thinking about it all, since I haven't taught calculus in 20 years! Thanks for the tips.
@JennSWhite I saw some at Target yesterday at the corner of the paper plate aisle across from the produce. Go figure? But it was easy to see the display. Haven’t tried them but they were only $20 or so.
@jreulbach and others who use Desmos for assessments -- how do you give students their grades and comments on that assignment? I know you can use the feedback feature if they are in the assignment, but can they see it later? Can you integrate with google classroom somehow?
I love it when you stumble across real life data analysis that you can use in the classroom. My goodreads account makes a scatter plot of publication dates of the books I read, which I showed my students today.
Tried something new this week that I learned about at #SeMathSummit last summer: a choice board for review problems. Any suggestions on how to use them?
It made me happy to help my son with his first night of AP Calculus homework last night, but not that it was past my bedtime! But staying up late was worth it!
