Search for Shirts!
Blackpool FC is looking to borrow shirts from two iconic years as part of an upgraded display: 1971 Anglo-Italian Cup Final and 1984-85 promotion season. If you have one or can put us in touch with someone who has one, please contact me: [email protected]
As a mark of respect following yesterday's tragic news, both teams will wear black armbands during today's game. Supporters are encouraged to join in the fan-led applause during the fourth minute. ๐งก
Please join in with a minute's applause on the 33rd minute for Jordan Relph, a fellow Seasider who died suddenly recently, leaving a wife and four young children.
Also, a quick update on the flags. These will return to the Kop, it's planned, in time for the game against Exeter.
You'll notice there is some new signage up around the concourses, including a reminder that smoking - including vaping - is not permitted anywhere in the bowl of the stadium. Please respect your fellow fans and refrain from smoking or vaping in the stands. Thank you.
Regarding flags: I've got a brief update on this in tomorrow's matchday programme but suffice to say it is untrue that a decision has been made not to rehang any flags.
Flag washing. FYI you'll notice the wall around the top of the Kop is being renovated. Fans' flags have been taken down temporarily to allow this and the flags are being cleaned prior to being rehung in time for the first home league game next month.
For Seasiders travelling to Cheltenham for the game, I've been advised that the away fan zone is unable to open this evening, but away fans are welcome in The Robins Nest.
@MuckersThe All groups in attendance were sent the minutes last night to allow feedback before publication. Minutes provide an accurate summary of key points. They are not a word-for-word transcript.
Help please! BFC volunteers will be in on Christmas Eve to clear the rubbish from today's game. In the spirit of the season it will help enormously if fans can put their rubbish in the bags provided at the exits rather than dropping it in the stadium. Thank you & Merry Christmas.
@ShaunWaltz@georgerobbo55@BlackpoolFC What foods you can/can't bring in has never been explicitly spelled out in the CC because discretion & medical issues come into it - BUT hot food has NEVER been allowed. Some stewards may have been inconsistent in applying this. BFC will update the CC to make the situation clear.
Shout out for volunteers (2):
If you can spare even an hour or two of a morning to help, the volunteer team would be most grateful. Just sign in at the NE corner of the ground at 9.30 on any of:
28,29 Nov and 1,4,5,6,8,11 Dec. Your help will be greatly appreciated. UTMP!
