Bradford Cycling Campaign improves conditions for cycling and gives a voice to those already cycling by sharing resources and liaising with local authorities.
Come work with a lovely bunch - very diverse, flexible role. You don't need to know much about cycling, other skills like community work, youth work, marketing, admin, people skills are probably more important.
We'll accept applications until Monday.
Free minor bike repairs at University of Bradford Student Central to accompany the Bradford Climate Conference (tomorrow, Tue 13th May from 9:30). https://t.co/etsjY5zoin

Lots more going on. We're also moving venue soon to Rawson Road for the New Year!
Did anyone in Bradford notice it was Car Free Day today?
I saw a sign at the side of the road which was welcome - but I've seen no other indication of engagement. Would be very happy to be proved wrong if anything good happened?!

@MinaMesri @rutgrr@CycleBradford @aLeedscyclist @TheSocBiz @bradfordmdc@Chris_Boardman @ClaireE_TandA @Active_Bradford I'm afraid BRI is appallingly served. A reasonable-ish route might be to head up Manningham Lane, up through Lister Park and then around. It's not direct though. Coming straight up out of Bradford is not particularly nice.
We've collaborated on this statement which encourages @bradfordmdc to act quickly in making space for cycling and walking in the wake of the lock-down:

@CyclingCapital@passwideandslow@FOEBaildon@ClimateIlkley There are several types of road users that are put in danger by vehicles which travel too fast and don't leave enough room. Drivers remember: hang well back until it is really safe to pass and leave lots of room when you do.
