@JKnowsBall_ Tell me why I shouldn’t overreact. Tell me three games in a row is a fluke. Tell me this team reads scouting reports. Tell me Painter knows how to make a halftime adjustment. Tell me this isn’t Purdue showing their true colors. I beg you, make it make sense
And miss me with the “oh but we were so close, one of these times it will work” bullshit. 1 ECF win in 4 series does not a cup contender make.
Physical playoff hockey is a major problem for this team, and it will continue to be as long as the lineup stays/plays this small.
Imma preface by saying I’ve had this take locked and loaded since round 1. This hurricanes team was never gonna win a cup, and neither were any of the previous Rod teams that have been constructed similarly.
Open for discussion, what needs to change?
I’m not trying to dunk on Rod or the rest of the staff, I think they’ve done a phenomenal job overall turning the franchise around. But as I see it now, there needs to be relatively drastic change to the lineup to get to the next level and compete for a cup
It’s amazing just how simple it is to shut down Purdue’s offense. Deny smith, play physical with TKR, and make everyone else handle the ball. There needs to be a plan B if this team is gonna do anything in March
