@Greenisamissio1 According to these people mankind can not conquer the stars unless we give up everything to nature and allow trees to reclaim the earth, as though standing on the earth’s ground somehow makes our existence dependent on how it was when our species first evolved into existence.
@TheNewRhyme Wokeness is the false beliefs used to justify forced integration — like tabula rasa, or that groups of people are systematically oppressed despite having equal legal rights — not when a story has a gay person in it.
@RegularSanStan@loc12321@NotPotBol There is no such thing as “basic needs for survival” Food and medicine are life extending technologies, just like vampirism. Are you saying vampires are entitled to suck my blood? Commies are inhuman vampire worshippers. Unironically fuck you.
@RegularSanStan@loc12321@NotPotBol How is that not suffering? What if instead of ugliness induced suffering it was the suffering of freezing as a result of there not being enough warm blankets to use? Then would you say refusing to pick cotton is aggression?
@RegularSanStan@loc12321@NotPotBol If your standard for aggression is causing deliberate suffering, then is wearing my bright purple shoes in front of the guy that fucking hates them aggression?
“unwarranted” does a lot of heavy lifting here.
@SocDem_Erika Supply of houses to buy will increase while supply of housing to rent will decrease. Some people for various reasons at some point would rather rent than invest in a home. Depriving people of their ability to have that option therefore decreases housing supply overall.
@jngo_alt Believing you are entitled to free housing is implicit support for enslaving people to build houses for you.
Either that or you think it should be through voluntary charity instead, but that implies it is also valid to withold housing before getting something in return.
@Apocaloptimist5 Show me evidence of which ancestor was robbed and how the chain of inheritance leads to them and the same for where the robbed material wound up now and I approve of your actions. Otherwise you are enacting justice in the dark and committing various new crimes in the process.
@roxy_wodka@NotPotBol The system I defend is a system of not aggressing on another’s actions or use of a thing. You can try to point out the problems with that, or you can call it capitalism, call the status quo capitalism, and then conflate it with the status quo. Many choose the latter.
@anItalianFox@purplewaves7 Fortunately, capitalism gives poor people jobs to buy those things with, that way they can have what they want by producing more for others instead of robbing the producers.
@RealiaAmelia “commies falsely conflate the status quo with the NAP to reject both under the label of capitalism” Is the argument I’m making. Merely continuing to do that isn’t a rebuttal.
@RealiaAmelia Libertarians believe in a legal principle which they aren’t unwilling to hold others accountable to. I don’t think it contradicts human nature to believe a critical mass of people can share legal beliefs.
@SmasherIsEma@NotPotBol Yes, but more importantly the status quo cannot be used as empirical evidence of the failures of free markets, only of the failure of mixed market economies.
