I worked at a company I was a director level at the time. The company wanted to replace 1 US worker with 2 H1B workers in India because cheaper. But not very qualified. These were US programmers. I took a stand and quit. H1B is mostly cost. Dont believe mostly to get qualified workers. In very few cases is it to get qualified workers.
@tomshardware What I think is funny I worked at Compuware in the late 80's a good friend of mine wrote a complete emulator that run s390 instruction sets on x86. It was a full implementation. Now 40 years later IBM doing the opposite. We abandoned the project because no one cared...
You may not agree with lots of points in the router ban. But how could it not increase US routers being made? Even if you don’t agree, that other countries would take advantage. Even if you don’t agree with politics. Why do you think companies would not rush to have a US made router so they could corner the market?
@RepBethVanDuyne@tracegallagher Solve the problem. Make a law that DHS (Department of Homeland Security) is responsible solely for security for Congress and Senators. Then see how fast the bill passes. NO OTHER FORMS of security allowed. And defund the other agencies doing it now.
