Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba
I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film
As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes
It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions.
But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken
Enough of the bullshit, enough of the rhetoric, enough of the fiddling around the edges, enough of rearranging the deckchairs, enough of pointless commissions and even more pointless reports, enough of the lying, enough of the deceit, enough of the gaslighting, enough of the masquerade, enough of the pretending it's time for govt to get a grip, to show leadership, to show determination, to do the right thing, to act.
It's time to put the water industry back into public ownership and the time to do that is now.
But have they got the balls?!
Why I’ve read @PrivateEyeNews since I was 15. I got my copy on Tuesday, Andrew arrested Thursday. Inside it reminds us it raised concerns in 2009 about Mandelson discussing affairs of state with Epstein and a news item on Charles saying he would assist police with their enquiries. All for £2.99
“It’s a death trap. People are forced to choose between starvation or being killed while trying to address the starvation,” @UNLazzarini tells @trtworld.
Over 870 killed and 4,000 injured in #Gaza while seeking food. Humanitarian access was once widespread — now it's confined to military-adjacent zones resembling ghettos.
This must end.

ANNOUNCING A MAJOR NEW @EmpirePodUK SERIES:
IRELAND & EMPIRE
Episode One-
COLONISING IRELAND:
Henry VIII, Elizabeth I & The Tudor Conquest of Ireland
Superb investigative journalism into Israeli war crimes in Gaza and the brutal executions of innocent civilians. No British or America newspaper or media company has produced anything as detailed or devastating as this
Dozens of local councillors became MPs for the first time on 4 July and there is no legal impediment to an MP continuing as a councillor, but it is generally not seen as possible to do both jobs properly at the same time.
This posed no problem for the former Tory MP for Mansfield, Ben Bradley, who managed to combine the roles of MP and county council leader until 4 July, when he lost his seat and £91,346 salary.
Happily he can still rely on the annual £55,233 he gets for being leader of Nottinghamshire county council. Over the last three years he has claimed a total of almost £440,000 from the public purse for being in two places at once.
