Yesterday, someone dug through 510k lines of leaked Claude code and dropped a deep dive on their ban system.

Getting banned is a multi-factor combo. Top 5 triggers, from highest risk:
1/Account sharing (Extreme Risk)​ — Same account on multiple Device IDs, different IP/OS/timezone logins.
2/Rate limit violations (High Risk)​ — Tracked by account_uuid + subscription_type + rate_limit_tier. Exceed quota → 429 error → ban.
3/Content violations (High Risk)​ — Message fingerprinting + anti-distillationfake-tool injection detection.
4/Automation abuse (Medium Risk)​ — Triggers from CI environment + non-interactive mode + SDK entry + abnormal token use patterns.
5/Client tampering (Medium Risk)​ — Version fingerprint mismatch, abnormal User-Agent format.

How to protect yourself:
Safest:​ Use Bedrock/Vertex AI​ (all analytics auto-disabled).
Good alternative:​ Run export DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1to kill telemetry.
Must do:​ Delete the userIDfield in ~/.claude.jsonto reset device fingerprint. Clear cache in ~/.claude/telemetry/. One account, one person — no sharing.
