Mythology is subversive in nature, it covers the actual events in spiritual storytelling. So if we dig into mythology, we should aim to understand it, not take it at face value always. my opinion.

I thought the movie was coherent. There is a personal transformation that Balian goes through. It’s not about human religion, kings or pointless wars or values that men give a place, it’s about being perfect. And standing alone, if that is what it takes.
