Over the past 4 years NHS Borders has seen an increase in the number of home births. The reasons are variable. It is important that the families in the Borders know they have a choice of where they wish to give birth and is person centred.

Today is world prematurity day.
Georgie was born at 23+1 week and had a long journey spanning 150 days. Her last few weeks before heading home in the BGH. The different emotions and experiences her family went through were huge. ๐
Purple is the color associated with this day.
