One of our priorities at BGHS is to give students time, space, and resources to explore their post-secondary options. But, their stories begin well before freshman year.
During her time at BGHS, Disha has become a CNA and is now a certified phlebotomist. She has taken advantage of our excellent CTE classes and has prepared herself well for nursing school.

Chris eventually wants to work in IT to repair computers to work with his hands and help others.
He hopes that his life honors the memory of his dear friend, Jerry Whitlow.
Chris Miralda is a senior member of our computer programming pathway and JAG program.
He’s going to SKYCTC for two years and then transferring to WKU to earn a bachelor’s in computer science.
In the meantime, Deandre is serving as a cadet with the Bowling Green Police Department. His goal is to become a police officer after turning 21 in order to serve and protect the city he calls home and honor the memory of his father, Byron Fugate.

Deandre Wilson is a senior member of the JAG program. He competed in creative decision making at the state and national level, earning a Top-5 finish in the country.
He’s planning to attend SKYCTC this August and eventually transfer to WKU to earn his bachelor’s in criminology.
Jezayla Close is a senior member of the College Cohort and Medical Arts Academy.
She is planning to attend Middle Tennessee State University this August to study nursing because she wants to make a career out of helping and healing people.

Luke Harston is a senior who has participated in FCA, cross country, and baseball during his time at Bowling Green High School.
He’s planning to attend the University of Wyoming in Laramie. While there, Luke will study biology as part of a pre-med program.
We’re thankful for the school-wide and community-wide support our seniors received, and we’re looking forward to our biggest celebration, graduation, in just two short weeks.

The past week exemplified what senior year is all about at Bowling Green High School. Seniors attended two job fairs, completing interviews and practicing networking skills, and participated in Grad Walk, celebrating where they are and remembering where they’ve been.
Throughout the week, they’ve taken AP exams, had senior nights for their sports, participated in final concerts, and are gearing up to celebrate prom tomorrow night.
The past, present, and future came crashing together this week.
Austin Comer is a senior member of our Industrial Maintenance Program. He has spent the year studying electrical technology in Mr. Loveland’s classes and prepared himself for the job market in Coach Whitt’s JAG program.
Emma Coomes is a senior bound for the Big Blue Nation. She plans to attend the University of Kentucky where she has received the Presidential and Thomas Shaver scholarships.
Martha’s first school experience in America was as a freshman at Bowling Green High School. Just a few years later, she has earned academic scholarships to attend Western Kentucky University. While there, Martha will study nursing.
We’re so proud and thankful for you, Martha!
Martha Onda has lived up to our district’s motto of “Excellence is worth the effort.”
She was born in Tanzania, and her family moved to the United States in the summer of 2019.
CJ Scott is a senior who has enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
He ships out in July and will work as an Aviation Electrical Technician. He plans to make a career out of the Marine Corps.
