Done with the Bencivenga 100 Challenge today.
Long story short:
- 300,000 words.
- 1,010 handwritten pages.
- 10 full reps over 117 days.
- And 22 pens murdered.
Old-school, pen-to-paper practice.
Grateful for this @nabeelazeez@getcopyskills
Here’s a creative strategy question that was asked in a private mastermind…
“Absolute rookie CS question. Started building my swipe file. How do I identify evergreen ads ? Are they literally the ones that’ve been running longest?”
My answer to it:
I don’t think there is anything called as evergreen ads post andromeda.
Before andromeda… million dollar brands used to survive on 4-5 creatives which used to take all the spend.
But now it’s all about creative diversity and volume whilst maintaining the quality.
You can find ads running for 100 days+ on gethooked, foreplay, atria, ads manager etc etc….
But they will die at a point, so as creative strategist we need to stay updated with the current trends and adapt quickly.
Hope this answers your question.
Wrote a static ad for 8-Figure dental teeth whitening brand, and it has been scaling in the ad account for 22 days now...
Hint: It is a transformation ad... which show what happens when you use our product for X days
So far it has got over 750 purchases... and I know it will cross 1000 in no time.
Will make a few iterations and push it again, to milk the fuck out of it.
Easy.
As a creative strategist it's super important to make you meet your customer where they are through your copy.
Their awareness level...
Their sophistication level...
Their language...
This is the only way you can channel their desire... and showcase your product as the bridge to achieving their goals.
Copywriting is just like mathematics.
The more you work on it, the better you become.
It demands reps every single day... irrespective of your experience level.
@nicktheriot_ Agreed.
I still don’t understand how people are comfortable with 1 client/ job.
How are they not scared of not having to work tomorrow???
@IAmAlenSultanic@AlinDragu Also he is referring to Medvi when he mentioned 2 person company with 1.8 billion in revenue.
They operate on an affiliate model.
And affiliates are human copywriters themselves... who rely heavy on direct response and testing.
You can have the best copy in the market, and it will fail if written to a wrong awareness level.
Understanding whom you’re writing too... and which stage they are in, is super important.
Ignore that and you’re fucked.
All thanks to Eugene Schwartz’s.
