Pleased to have been involved in the beginnings of music in the NI Bar (early 2000s ?) forming and directing the first NI Bar Choir. A fine sound we made, unaccompanied, in the Great Hall of the Royal Courts of Justice.

@JonAshworth This pianist/recitalist recovering from stroke (some 16 months ago) coming across your posts about it Jonathan. Indeed the playing helped and helps - now back to it after initial inability to play.
Watching his feet dance across the pedals, Iโm reminded of that (perhaps apocryphal) story about a contemporary of Johann Sebastian Bach. After a magnificent performance, a wealthy admirer supposedly wished to reward Bach with a gold ring for each of his fingers โ to which someone indignantly replied, โDonโt forget his feet!โ
A charming reminder that true virtuosity, especially in Bach, is a full-body art. ๐นโจ
