@Ryunade@AndrewSorge@AP They are definitely planning to update it for more tax situations, and eventually all of them. It just takes time to implement all the logic for every tax situation
California: we could be looking at 14+ Propositions on the ballot this year.
I've made a summary of what they do, who's funding them, who's opposed, with links to the full text.

A few random thoughts on the comments to CFPB’s proposed rulemaking on “personal financial data rights” (open banking):
1. Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT)
This is the standout issue I wasn’t anticipating. With a write-in campaign led by Propel, hundreds of consumers urged the CFPB to include these government benefit accounts within scope:
“Please include EBT accounts […] We deserve the same rights and security on the financial products we use as anyone else.” https://t.co/hyJ5dzpJ1G
The comment letter by Propel itself is worth a read — a cogent, concise, single-issue letter by founder Jimmy Chen: “For the tens of millions of Americans who rely on SNAP and TANF, EBT cards are functionally no different than debit cards.” https://t.co/v5K8XMpzRm
But advocacy wasn’t limited to Propel. Notable respondents included FDATA, Plaid, 16 Members of Congress, and the Consumer Bankers Association (“failing to include EBT […] risks creating a two-tiered financial service system”).
TIL AC Transit is cutting 20% of its service in part because it has to subsidize SF Transit Center to the tune of $4.2M every year because Caltrain and CAHSR backed out of their commitments
@smtology IMHO, I'd treat it as a radio. Ideally, I'd implement it as a radio tag and hide a None option so it would gracefully degrade to that without JS.
NEW: We just posted distressing data from Idaho - c. 35,000 kids have been disenrolled from Medicaid which is greater than the number of adults disenrolled from the expansion group 30,869.

While SNAP shouldn't require an interview in the first place, letting people do on-demand interviews is such a basic reasonable accommodation and it's astounding that they're not already the status quo
Experimental evidence from LA county published as a NBER paper finds big impact of call in (on-demand) interviews on SNAP enrollment. All states should be doing this. No one should be stuck waiting for the phone to ring. https://t.co/H6SQI19BPx
Hi friends! I’m looking for a new job, ideally a senior/staff/management engineering role. If you hear about something, please let me know! I’m also looking for some short-term work while continuing my job search
