@RPSeawright@megbasham We can be more granular about it than merely reducing it to the state level. The state's populace is comprised of actual people, not merely a nebulous blob that we term a "state."
@AnnaGorisch @MattWalshBlog Little-known though the fact is, there are actually Americans with IQs above room temperature, who graduated from decent schools, and who are well-educated despite universities' failings, who understand math.

@pegobry_en@AuronMacintyre And surely their people, who for some reason are allowed to run for office and be appointed to cabinet positions, wouldn't work to change those laws...
@PaddyMacMke@DanFleming99@NatHalberstadt@ZohranKMamdani Possible that their lineage did so by your parents' generation, or at least could have done so. Although, if you're a reliable indicator, it seems like that possibility wasn't quite brought to bear.
@EvangelicalDW And if we're going to play the game of, "sometimes it's okay to take it upon one's self to assassinate a member of one's country's magistrate," we need to be prepared to actually play that game, rather than confining it to relatively distant times and places.

@mitchellvii Are you familiar with the concept of a bimodal distribution? There are many students in America who can barely read, but there are also many who are quite academically adept.
