i want an “it is well” faith. i want to be able to look at hardship and struggle in the face and stand firm in the truth that God still holds it all. He’s for me. He’s with me. therefore whatever comes, it is well.

Jesus is hanging on the cross and people are mocking him. spitting at him. ridiculing him. cussing at him. laughing at his slow and painful death.

and all he does is lifts his head and says “forgive them.”

that’s the kind of love that i want to have.
