@StuartnotStu I have a relatively new President handheld that can also be used mobile, works great. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but if conventional communications methods tank, CB is always there.
@unhealthytruth Loved Rod back when he was an original and outrageous. Now that he needs oxygen and a dozen other people on stage to make a show, I feel sorry for him.
@jen_moxon A coworker was all proud of himself that his new "T" EV made it from Philly to Newark NJ airport on a single charge, then only had to sit on a charger for 2-1/2 hours to make the trip home. My junkmobile would have made the round trip before I would need a 3-1/2-minute fillup.
@DylanGrey2022 Plastic blades. Partly because the line feeder mechanism on my weed whacker never worked properly, partly because I battle bamboo growth that line won't cut.
@eddykarter@juliehartist It's all about focus. If you start thinking about that leaky faucet at home during hot laps you're not providing the level of safety you should for all of those around you.
@juliehartist I think it's very much a tale of two extremes. We've both seen the raw end but once in awhile there's the opposite. Rick Mears, winner of 5 Indy 500's, openly and humbly thanked people for taking the time to come find him for an autograph. I was one of them!
@Okie_Rancher Knew a guy whose job was to properly re-hang doors. Everything from revolutionary-era restorations to entire brand-new developments where no attention was paid to detail. He was always busy and his "magic touch" always in demand.
@TheExtremeMusi1 Freddie. He made the audience feel like he was there to entertain YOU as an individual, no matter who you were or how little you'd paid for your seat.
@GuitarG71647302 But not as badly as the people "power shopping" in the store: two carts side-by-side moving glacially slowly and being pushed by people more interested in gossiping than picking their groceries.
@JamesHu27192912 Some of us saw Comet Kohoutek in the '70s during the coldest January we've had in these parts. A cousin and myself spent every night for a week with a telescope in a mowed cornfield until we saw a smudge just above the horizon. So much for the "Comet of the Century" ๐
@LeahRebeccaUK Now THAT'S an Irish wake! A couple happened in the house I live in now, but supposedly they were just the deceased propped up in the corner and a couple of bottles passed around.
