Milan Momcilovic made 136 three-point shots last season at Iowa State and is tailor made to play for Mark Pope at Kentucky.
His addition immediately makes the Wildcats a Top 15-20 team entering the 2026-27 season.
“Looks pretty obvious to me that high-majors need to play mid-majors during the season. They said we ain’t played nobody—we played somebody now. Nobody would play us. just like nobody would play Miami Ohio. But they gotta play us in this tournament.”

First, Kentucky did not offer Top 10 draft pick money to Yaxel.
Second, if a transfer/recruit is ever offered this amount of money, and turns it down, they need to be evaluated.
Mark Pope has forgotten more about basketball than I’ll ever know… but if foul trouble wasn’t an issue, this is the rotation I’d roll with:
Denzel 37+
Otega 37+
Collin 37+
Jelavic 25
Moreno 30
Mo 25
Jasper/Trent 9 total or less
Looks excessive, I know. But with injuries and some tough performances, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. #BBN
Kentucky is scoring on almost every single ATO at this point.
It isn't a fun or easy way to live, but Coach Pope and company might need to expand the play book and call MORE set plays down the stretch.
Manufacturing points seems easier than this team creating for themselves.
Watch Jasper Johnson in this clip. What is he doing? Just completely off of his man roaming the paint for no reason.
Denzel Aberdeen, thankfully, played excellent on-ball defense here.
There was never a need to help...so why is Johnson just going rogue??? Got lucky.
TEAM CONSISTENCY
This graph shows each team's game consistency compared to their overall team rating. The lower you are, the more your performance level stays consistent from night to night.
Arizona and UConn are consistently excellent, while Michigan is way more volatile 👇
